Literature Text

I would lay a candle trail that lasts five thousand miles
And keep your memory through every flame
I'll have you know that your the reason for my smiles
If anyone can do this, I know that I can

You are the only one who ever stood by me
But now it's time to let me leave
Can't you lie to me and tell me that you are ready
I know you know that I know that you believe in me

Let me leave this place that you so love
To find a place all my own
Before long I'll be a man and have a home
As I'm being watched from above

You are the only one who ever stood by me
But now it's time to let me leave
Can't you lie to me and tell me that you are ready
I know you know that I know that you believe in me

It's not goodbye forever
I'll do more than just send a letter
We both know I'll always be your baby
But this is my Goodbye, Mama

You're the only one who ever stood by me
But now it's time to let me leave
Can't you lie to me and tell me that you are ready
I know you know that I know that you believe in me.
I've been talking to my friend Katrina since before Mandy and I broke up. We came up with a plan for me to move to Montana in the summer. Sadly, those plans are being put on hold for a couple of months. I guess that's OK, because I'll be spending a little more time with my family while I gather up the money.

Anyhow. I became inspired to write something for my mother. Something for her to read while I'm gone. Something to let her know how much I love her. And I came up with this.
I wrote it to the music of "Jamie All Over" by Mayday Parade, which can be viewed here: [link]

I also plan on putting this in my compilation of poetry that I'm gonna try to get published.
